4CP

Data extraction from SAP systems directly into ODBC databases — AI-supported for extraction and analysis. A simple ETL tool without additional middleware.

formerly T3CP

Data from SAP — into your database with just a few clicks

With 4CP you interactively create an SAP download routine on your Microsoft system that you can call via a scheduled job, a desktop shortcut or within a script. You select the SAP system, the SAP source table or query or QuickView and the ODBC target table — including field mapping and SQL options.

4CP is a simple ETL tool: with just a few clicks you interactively set up an automatic data transfer from your SAP ERP system to any ODBC-supported database. In an SAP query / QuickView (transaction SQVI, SQ01–SQ03) or ad-hoc query (transaction S_PH0_48000513) you define a simple data query or a table join. 4CP calls this query and reads the data into the defined target table.

In addition, filter conditions can be set interactively, as well as which table field contents are transferred and stored periodically and automatically in your database target table.

Supported are SAP systems with an ABAP kernel — e.g. current ERP/ECC or Retail systems. 4CP can also be used with new S/4HANA systems and there likewise reads tables (incl. new tables such as ACDOCA) and queries.

In this way many kinds of data can be extracted easily, e.g. personnel data, stocks, order lists, delivery data, account overviews, posting data, material and customer master data or Z tables.

Functions

  • Data extraction via RFC call: from tables and from SAP queries
  • Scheduler for planning query jobs
  • Scheduled transfer in the background
  • Filter criteria for table and query requests
  • Use of variants defined in SAP for queries / QuickViews
  • SQL options: freely definable SQL command before and after the extraction
  • Logging of activities (log)
  • Interactive definition of various target ODBC DSNs
  • Field mapping (source-to-target field assignment)

Various database systems can be defined as the target, e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle databases, PostgreSQL or Microsoft Access. The 4CP system tables can also be stored, for example, on an MS SQL Server. You schedule the extraction jobs in the scheduler or call them from a script.

4CP is inexpensive and easy to install — additional middleware systems such as SAP PI are not required. No programming and no customizing is necessary on the SAP side.

Requirements

  • Access to an SAP system
  • SAP GUI installed on the system
  • Valid SAP user account with authorization for the tables or queries/QuickViews to be read
  • Microsoft Windows operating system (e.g. Win7/8/10 or Windows Server, such as Windows Server 2012)
  • At least .NET 4.0 Framework
  • ODBC driver for the target database(s)

The program can be operated in test mode immediately. After creating a test account, a restriction applies in automatic operation (parameter -L): the test notice must be confirmed manually. You receive the license key by email; entering it lifts the restrictions of the test mode.
